IT SERVICE DESK MANAGER

The IT Service Desk and User support team is an internal team providing IT support to Eurofins Business Units.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

Business Unit and User Support (Service Desk):

a. Provide IT Support to Spanish IT Systems Users:

  • User Workstations
  • Printing solutions
  • Phone systems (fixed and mobile)

b. Ensure adequate support is accessible to the IT Systems Users which cannot be provided by you.  

c. Assists supported companies and process service requests effectively for

  • Provisioning of New User device equipment
  • Hardware Purchase 
  • Licenses Purchase 

d. Assist supported company to get inventory on computer or license used in laboratory

e. Manage IT contracts with vendors: Printers, mobile phones, local internet providers

f. IT Invoice support to accounts department  

g. Responsibility over local country IT budget

 

OTHER ASSIGNMENT 

a. Participate to IT Infrastructure projects (local / regional / corporate) 

b. Participate in the design of Group Standards and Policies infrastructure Services

  · Together with peers, participate to the definition of Group standards and policies.

  · Qualify new technologies and share information with other team

c. Ensure that Group standard and policies are respected:

  · Implement infrastructure solution / tools according to group patterns and policy

  · Make sure that Group Design Patterns correctly implemented and followed by his/her own team as well as by each laboratory supported.

d. Participate to IT Integration projects (new lab integration)

  • e. Make sure that processes are implemented in a smooth and controlled manner (incident, change..)
  • f. Participate/work in collaboration with other IT teams for:

  · Resolution of incidents impacting site infrastructure equipment (servers, LAN/WAN equipment...)  

  · Maintenance/evolutions of site infrastructures

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- 10 years of experience in a similar position (if technician) / 5 years if engineer;

- Autonomous, good team player, Customers oriented spirit

- Spanish: fluent

- English: read / speak / listen 

- French is a plus

- Driving license

- ITIL Knowledge

- Management: Capacity to coordinate some project and people

- From a technical point of view:

 

o Users Support:

· Computer Support: (mainly Windows 7 & XP, Windows Server 2003/2008)

· MS office (MS Office 2010 and 2003...)

· Email management Outlook / MS Exchange

· Remote access tools

· Mobility solution (BlackBerry, Activesync under Android, Airwatch)

· Hardware (PC, printers, scanners, barcode reader...)

· Ticketing systems

 

o Active Directory knowledge:

· User / Group Management

· GPO management

· MDT solution for computer deployment  

 

o Servers knowledge:

· Printing / DHCP / File servers 

 

o Phone systems management

 

o Previous experience in IT support in a multi-site company and / or knowledge on LAN/WAN.
